Scheck Hillel Basketball is the topic of conversation this morning after a night of amazing games that marks a spring season of awesome!
Boys Middle School team continued its winning streak Tuesday, defeating Sagemont 29-25. Big offensive plays were made by Daniel Givner, George Kaswan and Yaniv Assrag, with rebounding and putbacks from Jonathan Woldenberg.
Wins continued that night with JV Boys Basketball’s win over Archbishop Curley. The Hurricanes showcased outstanding shooting and leadership from Joseph Wolf, Jacob Mars and Daniel Fiske. Simon Elharrar was the man in the middle, pulling down winning rebounds, and Brandon Elyakim played a huge role in rebounding as well.
The night wrapped up with an exciting OVERTIME game for Varsity Boys Basketball when the Hurricanes battled the storm but came up one point short – 47-48 – against Archbishop Curley. Leading the Hurricanes was senior Alex Froimzon. Jose Serfaty and Nissim Franco hustled, rebounded and made key shots to put Scheck Hillel in a winning position. Leadership of Jack Kaswan and Bradley Moskovitz at the point position also helped to lead the team. Jacky Klainbaum and Natan Sredni were the top rebounders.
