Join fellow parents for this month’s parenting book club sessions Wednesday, April 10, and Friday, April 19, 8 am, led by school counselor Laurie Parker in our Kunin Library Media Center, to share I was a Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids: Reinventing Modern Motherhood. Are you the kind of mother you imagined that you would be? What is the hardest choice that you had to make as a mother? You’re not alone if your answers surprise you. These are highlights of questions we’ll ask ourselves in this month’s sessions. Please read the book in advance (available online and in local stores) and join us for what surely will be reflective, valuable conversations for mothers of children of all ages.
The fun continues Thursday, April 25, 12 pm, in our newly renovated Jordan Alexander Ressler Performing Arts Theatre, Friedman-Uhlar Auditorium, with HIP/PTA’s Annual Guardian of Learning Event, featuring the book’s authors, Amy Nobile and Trisha Ashworth. With a long list of appearances on “The Today Show,” “Oprah” and other national outlets, these authors have Scheck Hillel next on their calendars to present the joys and trials of modern motherhood!
Your 2013 Guardian of Learning donation includes event registration; we offer the option to simply register for the luncheon as well. Either way, please let us know you’ll be joining us at eHillel.org/hip. Invite friends from other schools to join us for this special event. For details, write to hip@ehillel.org.
