History, language, food, government, geography and so many other facets of European countries were exhibited and explored at Scheck Hillel Community School’s multimedia Europe Showcase on December 16. Samuel and Henrietta Scheck Middle School students and parents ‘backpacked’ through Europe today for an interactive trek through this annual Culture Showcase of Grade 7 student projects.
Students’ passports were stamped as they visited each country’s display. Grade 7 presenters answered questions about their respective countries and, in passports, guests wrote about what they learned from each exhibit. Students collaborated in groups throughout recent weeks, researching their assigned countries through various media and even by contacting international embassies. Every few months, Grade 7 students learn about a new continent and work with a new group. The passports are used throughout the year, taking students across the globe.
