On Yom HaZikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day, we honor and remember the fallen soldiers and terror victims who have given their lives for Israel.
The day of remembrance began when Ben Lipson Upper School students and Samuel and Henrietta Scheck Middle School students each attended a meaningful ceremony in the Jordan Alexander Ressler Performing Arts Theatre, Friedman-Uhlar Auditorium put on by Grade 9-12 students. Throughout the day, our faculty & staff, students and Scheck Hillel community were invited to observe a sacred memorial of the fallen soldiers and victims. Everyone participated by placing a stone on the Star of David to symbolize the memories of those who have fought for Israel.
As today concludes, we look ahead at tomorrow’s commemorative Yom HaAtzmaut, celebrating Israel’s independence since 1948.
