Scheck Hillel's National Art Honor Society chapter held their first meeting of the year, and selected their first project: designing and building head dresses for The Lion King Jr. (April 13, 14 & 17)From lions and hyenas to giraffes and elephants, honor society members will use different materials and mixed media to create costumes for our Lion King cast; a testament to the collaboration within our Jordan Alexander Ressler Arts Program. The National Art Honor Society is designed for students in Grades 9-12 who have shown outstanding ability and interest in art. Throughout the year, members participate in after school workshops and volunteer in the community and at school events. Check back here each week to read about what the work our Tri-M and International Thespian Honor Society members have been doing.
