This morning, students of the Samuel and Henrietta Scheck Middle School gathered eager to support 46 of their peers being inducted into the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Proud parents and grandparents also joined us on campus for the ceremony, watching as Scheck Hillel Community School inducted its newest members into the Segula Chapter of the NJHS.

The new NJHS inductees were recognized for their scholarship, leadership, citizenship, service and character. These five pillars translate into the criteria used for membership selection. Incoming Head of School Dr. Ezra Levy delivered an inspirational Dvar Torah, which touched upon the importance of displaying and personifying these five characteristics.
We are so proud of the Grade 7, Grade 8 and Grade 9 students who were inducted this morning. These students exemplify Scheck Hillel’s commitment to developing global citizens with strong, enduring Jewish identity and values. Mazal tov!
